Consent to Collection and Usage of Personal InformationAsia Miles Ltd. collects personal information from you at the time of your initial membership registration to process membership registration and provide efficient fulfilment of your requests.

1. Items of Personal Information to be Collected
A. Membership Registration
Mandatory Information: title, name (English), gender, date of birth, nationality, PIN (password), preferred mailing address (home/business), address (country, address, city), contact (Email), preferences (written language, email format)
Optional Information: ID, name in other language, travel document (country of issue, document number, expiry date), address (state, zip code), contact (home/work phone number, mobile phone number)
*For those under the age of eighteen, parent or legal guardian's name required for membership registration
B. Automatically Generated Personal Information
The following information can be collected in the course of using online services or data processing:
Service record data, access log, cookies

2. Items of Personal Information to be Collected
Asia Miles will not use the personal data you provide beyond the scope of the following purposes, except where you provided expressed prior consent or when requested by applicable law.
A. Membership management: membership identification, confirmation of intent of account creation, restriction on account creation and number of accounts, preservation of records for dispute resolution, complaint handling, notification etc.
B. Membership service management: use of information to provide better services such as efficient mileage accrual and redemption (online, mobile, phone etc.) etc.
C. Marketing and/or promotional purposes: new and/or personalized service development; offer of services and/or advertisement reflecting demographic information; sending updates on news and marketing promotions such as events; personalized communication through phone, email or direct mail for purposes including delivery of invitation, message and/or gift etc.

3. Period of Using and Retaining Personal Information
All Personal Data that has been collected from you will only be stored for a limited duration that is relevant to the purpose for which it was processed. It will however be stored for a maximum of seven years to protect you against any dispute resolution or other limited purposes. If another law requires the information to be stored, it will be stored for the period stated by the applicable law.

4. Refusal to Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information
You may refuse to consent to the collection and use of personal information. However, if you refuse to consent to the collection and use of mandatory information, we may not be able to process your membership registration.

Consent to Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties and Overseas Transfer
Asia Miles Ltd. does not transfer your personal information to third parties without your expressed consent unless required by law. However, personal information collected to provide services is transferred to parent or associated/partner companies located in Hong Kong through the Asia Miles system immediately.

All personal information collected with expressed consent as below:

3. Purpose of Using Personal Information by Recipients
Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd.
- Membership management: membership identification, preservation of records for dispute resolution, complaint handling, notification etc.
- Membership service management: use of information to provide efficient mileage accrual and redemption etc.
- Marketing and/or promotional purposes: new and/or personalized service development; offer of services and/or advertisement reflecting demographic information; sending updates on news and marketing promotions such as events; personalized communication through phone, email or direct mail for purposes including delivery of invitation, message and/or gift etc.
- Marco Polo Club: If choose to join the Marco Polo Club, all information provided when joining Asia Miles will be automatically transferred for convenience. If and when it is determined that you are a valued frequent traveller, your membership may be upgraded to a Marco Polo Club membership free of charge and without pre-notice. In this case, information will be transferred for the purposes of identification and record.
- CX Newsletter: If choose to subscribe to the newsletter, basic information provided when joining Asia Miles will be automatically transferred for convenience.
Asia Miles Associate/Partner Companies
- Mileage Management: transfer of basic information necessary for fulfilment of contract to any of associate/partner companies in connection with mileage accrual or redemption etc.

4. Period of Processing and Retaining Personal Information by Recipients
Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. / Dragonair Ltd.
- All Personal Data that has been collected from you will only be stored for a limited duration that is relevant to the purpose for which it was processed. It will however be stored for a maximum of seven years to protect you against any dispute resolution or other limited purposes. If another law requires the information to be stored, it will be stored for the period stated by the applicable law.
Asia Miles Associate/Partner Companies
- Retention period of transferred personal information will follow the privacy policy of the recipient company.

5. Refusal to Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information
You may refuse to consent to the transfer of personal information to third parties. However, in that case, we may not be able to fully offer benefits including mileage accrual and redemption.
